Ashley and Joe met through an unofficial meeting by way of Match.com in June 2004. Their first date was July 28th at Star Seeds Cafe in Austin, TX, where they ate Cheese Fries together as their first date dinner. Joe thought the date was going horribly, while Ashley somehow knew this was the man she wanted to be with for the rest of her life. They stayed up until 6am the next morning talking in the Star Seeds parking lot. Their second date was a movie, Ella Enchanted. By their 3rd date on Friday, July 2nd, Joe asked Ashley to be his girlfriend, and they've been together ever since.

On July 2nd, 2009,- their 5 year anniversary, Joe proposed to Ashley. She, of course, said yes!

In addition to the happy couple, their family includes two dogs, Nikon and George. Both were adopted from a shelter as adults and are treated better than most children. Yes, Joe and Ashley love their dogs!
